Featuring the oil of Joana & João Oliveira

On a high ridge overlooking a magnificent valley leading north from the famous Port-producing Douro River region in Northern Portugal, is found the family farm of Joana and João Oliveira.

For more than 180 years, the Quinta do Carrascal has been anything but a normal farm. Today, it is a wonderland producing exceptional organic olive oils, wonderful wines, and great foods.

In the last decades, the Oliveiras have strived to produce more and more of their products by organic means. Their advances in farming have led them to much success and recognition.

The organic extra virgin olive oil being imported into the USA by The Organic Olive Oil is recognized both in the local Trás-os-Montes region, and in Portugal as one of the finest olive oil in the land.

Taking advantage of the natural conditions of their Quinta, the Oliveira's have succeeded in making truly magnificent fresh tasting, yet low in acid, organic olive oil.

We think of it as a “white meat” version of an olive oil – more delicate and refined than many.
