The Culinary Institute of America learns about our Olive Oils
August 10, 2006: Organic Olive Oil Company's Shelton Reichardt presented a seminar on organic olive oils to student chefs and instructors at The Culinary Institute of America / Greystone, in Saint Helena, CA.
"Facilitated by Adam Busby (Director of Culinary Education) and Chef Ken Woytisek C.H.E., C.E.C. (Head Chef Instructor), Chef Ken Woytisek asked me to speak about organic extra virgin olive oils: production methods, positive and negative attributes of olive oils, & definitions of organic and extra virgin.
The setup was impressive -- a full academic theatre with a professional kitchen down in front! About 35 students and chef instructors took part, also tasting five of the oils carried by The Organic Olive Oil Company.
Lively questions and answers accompanied the tasting and post-class discussion, during which a number of students stayed to taste our other oils and chat. This was great fun!"

Lynette Rossetto Kasper from The Splendid Table
The National Public Radio Program Host of “The Splendid Table," Lynne Rossetto Kasper tasted most of our olive oils and interviewed Organic Olive Oil Company President Field Reichardt, at a fundraising event for WCME Radio, in Columbus, Ohio, on November 13, 2004.
Ms. Kasper especially enjoyed the Armando Mansur oil from Argentina, “fresh, and flavorful”
… the Olio d’Oliva of Salvatore Mirisola, “breaks the rule that olive oils have to be young – a great value!”
Regarding the Villa Stabbia, she exclaimed: “ "This is fantastic ... it is the Arnold Schwarzenneger of olive oils ... exactly what Tuscan olive oil should taste like."
Olive Oil Tasting in Cincinnati
In mid-November 2004, Field Reichardt participated in an in-store olive oil tasting at the nationally recognized Hyde Park Gourmet and Wine, in Cincinnati, OH.

The olive oils from Salvatore Mirisola are the best selling olive oils at the Cincinnati store.
During the winter, Hyde Park hosted a dinner featuring some of their superb wines, and the organic olive oils from the Organic Olive Oil Company.

We are pretty excited about all that has been happening to our little company! It has been a tough year - we started selling in October of 2001 - just a month after the horrors of September 11 - not the best of times to introduce exceptional quality products in the market place!
